Our Services
Our diverse services, to meet diverse needs
All of our services are in a face to face setting. We have designed our tutoring this way as a minimal screen environment is a big part of our philosophy at Thrive Hive. We have found that in a screen heavy world, taking a more simple approach to engagement, using real life materials, engages the children's concentration and imagination in a meaningful way.

121 Tutoring
A 121 tutoring service with a qualified teacher, suitable for children in both mainstream and home education settings. We can connect with the child's teacher too to make sure their learning and development is aligned with sessions.
We recommend that your child has tutoring weekly or bi weekly as a minimum to ensure consistency in learning and relationship. Depending on your child's needs, we can offer both day time and after school appointments.

Group Tutoring
Learning in the group environment can be a great option for some children. This setting still allows close attention from the teacher whilst helping the child to work with their peers in the group setting. This can be a great option for home education groups and children who want to work on their social relationships as well as their academia.
We can group sessions to ensure that similar aged children are learning together.
Maximum 6 children per session

Talk to a Teacher
Do you feel like you and your child might need a little extra help navigating school and homework, but tutoring might be a bit too much?
Do you sometimes have a question you wish you could ask your child's teacher?
Talk to a Teacher is a weekly drop in where parents and children can get advice and support from Teacher James, meet their peers and bring along their homework to do with James. Located at The Nest in Eccleston, it is for Primary aged children. For those who sign up monthly, they will also be added to a Whatsapp community where they can share ideas and ask questions to Teacher James any time.

Alternative Provision
If your child is struggling to attend school, but still registered and needs extra support, they may be offered Alternative Provision. This is a 121 service that can take place with a qualified teacher like James within the school setting. These are usually arranged by the school and councils who then make contracts with people like us to deliver.
We are currently working with councils to respond to requests for this provision.
